Why are well-child visits important?
What does a well-child visit include?
After examination, the team performs a comprehensive medical analysis of the patient and investigates the child’s maturation throughout the study to prevent possible challenges. The relative growth of an infant’s body mass, height, and head size is measured through a growth chart. To overcome the problem of obesity in teenage years, the family care center utilizes the BMI curve to identify the rate of obesity in patients with possible solutions. During well-child consultations, the primary focus is on getting adequate sleep duration, adolescence ailments and what to anticipate when your child progresses. It is recommended that newborns must be taken to health care centers when they are 2 to 3 days old. The schedule must follow the pattern of once a week, in a month, after 2 months, 3 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, 2 and a half year and 3 years until age 21.
Importance of vaccines as "body defender."
Vaccines enable the body to safeguard itself against pathogenic viruses and bacteria. Vaccines introduce very slight but reasonable s of dead bacteria and viruses and improve the body’s immune system, enabling it to defend against external microbes. This is the natural mechanism to combat contagious infections with now or fewer symptoms. After childbirth, babies are protected from infectious infections through the placenta, which acts as a safeguard shield and, with time, wears off. Pneumonia, whooping cough, chicken pox, influenza, pertussis, leukemia, and polio were the common diseases in the past that were responsible for causing chronic illness in patients. However, most of these diseases have become unusual due to vaccines. They must be scheduled between childbirth to 6 years and 7 to 18 years.
